If you continue in My word, You are truly My disciples. Then you will know the truth, and the truth will set you free. John 8:31-32
“I can’t.” “I’m not good enough.” “I never get things right.” “I’m worried about . . .”
Our minds naturally gravitate toward the negative, don’t they? It takes a concentrated effort to pull them out of the pit and transform them with the truth of God’s Word. When your mental fortitude is flagging, here are 10 verses you can meditate on to empower your mind with God’s Word.
1. We demolish arguments and every pretension that sets itself up against the knowledge of God, and we take captive every thought to make it obedient to Christ. 2 Corinthians 10:5
2. Do not conform to the pattern of this world, but be transformed by the renewing of your mind. Then you will be able to test and approve what God’s will is—His good, pleasing and perfect will. Romans 12:2
3. For God has not given us a spirit of fear, but of power and of love and of a sound mind. 2 Timothy 1:7
4. Set your minds on things that are above, not on things that are on earth. Colossians 3:2
5. The mind governed by the flesh is death, but the mind governed by the Spirit is life and peace. Romans 8:6
6. You will keep in perfect peace those whose minds are steadfast, because they trust in You. Isaiah 26:3
7. I can do all this through Him who gives me strength. Philippians 4:13
8. Search me, God, and know my heart; test me and know my anxious thoughts. See if there is any offensive way in me, and lead me in the way everlasting. Psalm 139:23-24
9. Therefore, preparing your minds for action, and being sober-minded, set your hope fully on the grace that will be brought to you at the revelation of Jesus Christ. 1 Peter 1:13
10. Finally, brothers and sisters, whatever is true, whatever is noble, whatever is right, whatever is pure, whatever is lovely, whatever is admirable—if anything is excellent or praiseworthy—think about such things. Philippians 4:8

I have been working on memorizing Isaiah 26:3. I also love Romans 8:38-39.

Both are great verses. Thanks for sharing, Collene. Memorizing God’s Word is an essential task of the believer. Putting the words to music can help, if memorization is difficult.
