Win a Copy of My First National Release (in Chicken Soup for the Soul)!

chicken soup for the soulFor those of you who don’t receive my newsletter (yet), you may not have heard that my story, A “Be-the-Gift” Birthday, was chosen out of thousands of submissions to be included in the upcoming release of Chicken Soup for the Soul: Random Acts of Kindness.  It hits bookstores next Tuesday, February 7th, and in celebration, I am giving away two, free copies to my readers at Whispers of Worth.

All you need to do to enter the drawing is leave a comment with the name of your favorite book (it can be an all-time or current favorite).  Also, be sure to share this post and encourage your friends to join the fun!

On Monday, February 6th, I will select two winners. In the event that your name is not selected, you can still get a copy of the book. For my local readers, I have several advance copies already in hand that I am selling for the discounted price of $10.  You can also pre-order the book from Amazon.

Included are 101 beautiful and inspiring stories of random acts of kindness that will be sure to lift your spirit and maybe even motivate you to look for a kindness you can perform for someone else.  I am so honored to be part of this wonderful anthology and excited to see my name in print in an actual book!

  1. Aimee, that’s such an amazing honor for your story to be included in the book. If I’m not chosen for the drawing, I’d love to purchase a copy from you.

Favorite book: The Nightingale, Kristen Hannah

  2. I’m so happy for you. My current favorite book is The Listening Life: Embracing Attentiveness in a World of Distraction by Adam S. McHugh. (I have many others I love but you asked for just one) 🙂

  3. Linda Lee, your students are so fortunate to have you in their lives, for so many reasons, this one included. And, I love The Help too! Seeing it here reminded me of what a great book it is.

  4. I teach a lot of really important things to my 7th graders and have for 28 years now.
The NUMBER ONE important thing I teach every day until they know it and repeat it in the hallways when they see icky stuff is BE NICE.
It’s easy. I give suggestions just in case they don’t know how. (ya never know what home they come from!)

    Favorite Book: The Help
